Well-led
Care workers gave positive feedback about the service, and they felt supported by senior staff and the provider. The provider had a set of values and objectives upon which the care was based upon.

Care workers gave positive feedback about the service. They felt the senior staff and the provider listened to them when they had any questions or concerns. A care worker commented, “The co-ordinator and supervisor/ manager are cooperative if there is any issue we can call them, and they really listen and do whatever they can.”
The provider had identified a set of values and objectives which the way care was provided were based upon. There were regular meetings, communication and supervision sessions where care workers could ask questions about the care provided and received support. Care workers completed a range of training to provide them with guidance on best practice.
Capable, compassionate and inclusive leaders
Care workers felt they were supported by the senior staff and the provider.
The provider had a range of experience which supported them in running the service. Senior staff had completed Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) qualifications in social care and the deputy manager was going to apply to become registered with the CQC once they had completed a level 5 Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) qualification.

The provider explained they had a clear management structure which included care coordinators and field supervisors to support care workers, staff to monitor the ECM and a senior care worker responsible for care packages
The provider had developed a range of policies and procedures which reflected current legislation and best practice. These policies and procedures were regularly reviewed to ensure they reflected up to date guidance.

Learning, improvement and innovation
The provider explained they kept up to date with legislation and best practice through their membership of Skills for Care and from the provider forum meetings which were organised by the local authority.
The provider completed a range of audits to monitor the way the service was provided. These included reviews of medicine administration records, care plans and the electronic call monitoring system.
