Well-led
The provider had processes in place to communicate the direction and reinforce the culture of the organisation. Due to a change in management and staffing, the culture and direction of the service needed to be embedded and sustained. The provider was clear as to what needed to change to ensure staff understood their roles and responsibilities and to ensure staff were confident to speak up.

Most of the staff we spoke with were positive about the support and changes made since the new manager had come into post. Newly appointed staff commented that it was a nice place to work and felt very well supported by the other staff and the manager. The new manager was working hard to address issues and ensure staff received the support they needed. There was a clear vision to ensure people could live their best lives. The provider had measures in place to ensure staff fully understood their roles as support workers, encouraging people to do as much for themselves as they were able to. The provider was clear as to what needed to change to ensure staff understood their roles and responsibilities and to ensure staff were confident to speak up. This needed to be further embedded for us to fully assess the effectiveness.
The provider had processes in place to communicate the direction and reinforce the culture of the organisation, such as staff meetings. Due to a change in management and staffing, these meetings had not taken place as frequent which was being addressed by the manager. The culture and direction of the service needed to be embedded and sustained.
